Service Description

This engaging tour weaves together Babylonian, Greek, and Roman constellation myths, local native star associations, and some of the most fascinating insights from my daytime Sedona tour. Settle into the cool evening air, bring your favorite snacks and drinks, and get ready to “meet the stars,” learn about Sedona’s unique landscape, and discover more about your place in the cosmos. During this tour I guide you through constellations from multiple cultures, showing how different civilizations interpreted the same stars in different ways. I also explain how Sedona’s high elevation, dry air, and low light pollution create some of the clearest night skies in the Southwest — which is why Sedona is considered one of the best places in Arizona for stargazing. Many guests ask what makes Sedona’s night sky so special, and the answer is simple: the combination of dark‑sky protection, desert climate, and wide‑open horizons gives us a view of the heavens that feels almost untouched. People also ask what a night sky tour includes. Along with cultural star stories, I use a high‑powered laser pointer, constellation models, and hands‑on astronomy tools to help you understand what you’re seeing. Whether you’re curious about galaxies, star lore, planetary motion, or the science behind the night sky, this tour is interactive, educational, and designed for all ages. Audience participation is encouraged — questions, curiosity, and wonder are all part of the experience. If you’re looking for a night sky tour that blends storytelling with astronomy, this is exactly what I offer. I combine scientific explanations with cultural perspectives so you can enjoy the sky both intellectually and emotionally. My goal is to help you feel connected to the stars in a way that’s meaningful, memorable and uniquely Sedona. We’ll provide comfortable chairs and blankets. Please dress warmly during the fall and winter seasons. For the comfort of all guests, please refrain from bringing pets. Thank you.
